Premier Golovchenko: Russian gas price for Belarus to be fixed for the first time for three years.
Belarusian Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko has said that the price of Russian gas for Minsk will be fixed for the first time for a three-year period.
“The relevant ministries will soon sign commercial agreements for natural gas supplies to Belarus. And as we have heard, for the first time the price will be fixed for a three-year period,” the state-run newspaper “SB.Belarus Today” quoted the Prime Minister on his website.
He stressed that this way the republic will be able to base its macroeconomic calculations on a specific figure. Golovchenko assured that the price is beneficial and comfortable for Belarus.
“I want to reassure you that everything will be stable and comfortable for the people of Belarus, for the industry. I think we should avoid pointing this question out. This is a working issue,” added the head of the government.
