Russian company Rostec plans to start serial production of the S-70 Hunter heavy strike drone in the next one to two years. The company’s first deputy general director Vladimir Artyakov told Russia 24 in an interview.

“The concept itself is unique. Neither the Americans, nor NATO, nor any other country has such a vehicle. [Next year – Ed.] we will conduct the first tests, serial production – I think we will come out in a year or two,” he said in response to a question about the stage of work on the machine (quoted by TASS).
Sukhoi, which is part of the United Aircraft Corporation (controlled by Rostec), has been developing the S-70 Hunter unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). The drone is based on a “flying wing” design using stealth technology, which reduces its signature for radar detection. The Okhotnik has a take-off weight of up to 20 tonnes and a maximum flight speed of around 1,000 km/h, according to publicly available sources.
