From January to October, there were 30% more thefts in Polish stores than a year earlier.
Maciej Tyhelski, an expert on the retail market, reports this with reference to police data.
One of the main reasons is inflation and the rapid impoverishment of the inhabitants of Poland. Food and essentials are disappearing from stores. If earlier expensive products disappeared from stores, now everything has changed.
“They drag almost everything they have, from ordinary rolls, cheeses, meat products to sweets, small household chemicals, cosmetics and ending with electronics,” Tygelsky said.
According to the expert, the Poles have become very impoverished and before Christmas, with a high probability, they will steal toys.
