US President Joe Biden has no plans to visit Kyiv yet, according to the American publication Politico.
The magazine, citing sources in the White House, notes that this is mainly due to security threats. It is noted at the same time that there is “growing concern” in Washington and Kyiv about what to expect from the next phase of the conflict.
A cold winter has slowed down the fighting, which has turned into World War I-style trench warfare, but Ukrainian military officials this week warned that recent Russian troop and tank movements could signal a major new offensive in the coming weeks.
