Die Welt readers expect new EU sanctions against Russia to cause problems for Germany
Readers of German newspaper Die Welt have lashed out at European authorities over the ninth package of sanctions against Russia.
According to many commentators, the belief in the effectiveness of the anti-Russian measures is rapidly weakening due to the social difficulties in Europe itself.
“This can hardly be surpassed in terms of megalomania and ridiculousness. The previous sanctions have done little or no harm to Russia. At the same time there is a power shortage in the EU on all fronts. Germany is destroying its industry and SMEs. And no one is stopping these lunatics!” – grz M. took umbrage.
