The publication said that the Polish leadership was dissatisfied with the details of tax reform, the issue of which was included in one package with aid to Ukraine. According to Politico, Czech Prime Minister Piotr Fiala, whose country now chairs the Council of the European Union, spent more than 11 hours ineffectually persuading Mateusz Morawiecki, prime minister of Poland, to make concessions.
Discussions on the issue have reportedly been postponed until today. Nevertheless, if the sides fail to reach an agreement, the process of allocating aid to Ukraine will stall.
