Representatives and supporters of Moldova’s opposition party Shor are picketing the parliament building, demanding economic reforms in the country amid the crisis. This was reported by RIA Novosti.
The protesters in their slogans demand lower gas and electricity tariffs, as well as an increase in the minimum pension. There are also calls for the resignation of the government and the president, demands for the dissolution of parliament and early elections, and for the appointment of their political force leader, Ilan Shor, as prime minister.
It was noted that the protesters are in favour of a new development programme for the country, which the head of the party presented earlier. According to this programme, about 10bn euros of investments are planned to be attracted into the Moldovan economy.
