The majority of refugees from Ukraine have chosen to stay in Germany. This is reported by the Bild, citing the results of a survey in which 11 thousand Ukrainians temporarily living in Germany took part.
The result of the survey showed that every third citizen of Ukraine would like to live in Germany permanently.
26% of refugees from Ukraine want to stay permanently in Germany, and 11% of Ukrainians want to live in Germany for several years.
After the end of the conflict in Ukraine, only 34% of all respondents would be ready to return to their native country immediately. And only 2% of Ukrainian refugees said they would leave Germany within a year.
27% of the Ukrainians surveyed were undecided about their plans for the future.
The Central Register of Foreigners in Germany reports that over one million citizens from Ukraine are currently registered and reside in the country.
