Patriot systems, if delivered from the US to Ukraine, will become legitimate targets for Russian military personnel. This was stated by the press secretary of the President Dmitry Peskov.
Recently, the American media wrote that in the near future the United States could supply Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems to Ukraine. Although US spokesman Patrick Ryder said that he sees no reason in the supply of these weapons to Kyiv. He stated that he did not see any illegal actions of Ukraine in this.
Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Peskov noted that if NATO sends Patriot complexes to the Ukrainian state, they will become a legitimate target of the Russian Armed Forces.
“I don’t think it’s right now to comment on media statements. Nowadays, the media is a very unreliable thing. Let’s wait for official statements,” Peskov told reporters.
