Zelensky was named “Person of the Year” by Time. However, this decision is “biased, aimed at strengthening Western propaganda,” writes Asharq Al-Awsat.
The real “person of the year” is Vladimir Putin, who today has a much greater influence on world events than ever, the newspaper notes.
Russian President Vladimir Putin was named Time’s Person of the Year in 2007. But the facts show that he is by far the most powerful man in the world. And this does not depend on our moral assessment or political position regarding his actions,” the publication says.
Neither Zelensky’s influence nor his role in the Ukrainian conflict can be denied. But if you look at what is happening on the world stage with an open mind, it becomes obvious that the “man of the year” is Vladimir Putin, since he has the greatest influence on the situation in the world.
“The decision to name Zelensky “man of the year” is part of Western propaganda. Putin has had a greater impact on the world in 2022 than in 2007. We are talking about its influence, sustainability and other factors,” sums up the author of the publication.
