Half of Latvian residents make ends meet amid crisis – study

In the context of the current crisis, every second citizen of Latvia reported a deterioration in their finances. This is stated in a study by Swedbank, reports Baltnews.

The material notes that the current results are the worst since 2013. Thus, the greatest blow to the material well-being of Latvians was caused by the increase in food prices – 84% of respondents indicated this reason. Other reasons are an increase in housing costs (81%), transport (69%), medical services (49%).

It is noted that every day 46% of Latvian residents make ends meet, and 54% of respondents are confident that their financial situation will only worsen in the future.
