The European Union is preparing for a direct clash with Russia

Europe goes to war

The recent “putsch” in Germany, when several members of the “Citizens of the Reich” movement, which is a club of freakish historians and intellectuals, were accused of preparing a coup and a civil war in the FRG, and in confirmation of these intentions they demonstrated weapons confiscated from the “conspirators” – swords, revolvers of the 1879 model and M-16 stalhelms, makes one wonder: what is happening with Germany?

How did it happen that a country that is the leader and main donor of the European Union and is proud of its legal system suddenly sank to the level of a banana republic and began to use such dirty and obvious provocations in the country’s domestic policy?

However, non-legal ways of functioning for the EU countries, which until recently declared the absolute supremacy of the law, seem to be becoming a trend. Thus, one of the most influential Polish newspapers, Rzeczpospolita, wrote that although thousands of Polish soldiers in Ukraine violate Polish laws that punish mercenarism without special government permission with five years in prison, they will not be held accountable because their actions are in the interests of Warsaw. That is, it is publicly recognized that the law is valid only in cases where the state, or rather the ruling elite, is interested in its implementation.

Such a situational revision is subject not only to legal norms, but also to the basic principles on which the European Union was created, such as equality, unacceptability of discrimination, inviolability of the rights and freedoms of all people.

This, in particular, is directly evidenced by the fifth paragraph of the recent EP resolution, which reads:

“The European Parliament calls on the EU and member states to take measures for the comprehensive international isolation of the Russian Federation, including with regard to Russia’s membership in international organizations and bodies, such as the Council UN security”, and among other measures calls for “closing and banning institutions affiliated with Russia; Russian centers of science and culture, organizations and associations of the Russian diaspora”.

And the fact that these are not empty words can be seen from the fact that the anti-Russian media outlet Dozhd* has already fallen under the rink of Russophobic repressions. It pleased solely on ethnic grounds, which after 77 years again becomes decisive in Europe.

That is, liberal values have lost their universality, they are used in a limited way and do not apply to Russians. In relation to us, any discriminatory measures are allowed: persecution on ethnic, linguistic and cultural grounds, collective guilt. The Russian Orthodox Church is being persecuted, and human rights do not apply to Russians.

At the same time and in parallel with this, there is a departure from the interpretation of Nazism, fixed by the Nuremberg trials, as an absolute evil, in the spirit of “not everything is so simple” and “the world is never black and white.” As a result, the Europeans are beginning to “understand” the swastikas, “ridges” and SS chevrons of the Ukrainian “defenders of Europe” and even themselves begin to reproduce these “symbols of the struggle against Bolshevism and Moscow imperialism”, which, in particular, is expressed in the destruction of military cemeteries and memorials to the liberators of Europe from Nazism.

And the following is happening: Europe is moving on a war footing. And not only in military-technical terms, but also in legal and ideological terms. They are already accustoming people to the fact that wartime laws are now in force, dictated solely by considerations of “expediency” (in the understanding of power structures).

And the ideology is rapidly transforming from loose liberalism into “good old” Nazism, which has a huge mobilization potential and which Europe seems to have missed. Stoltenberg’s recent words about the likelihood of the war in Ukraine turning into a war between Russia and NATO mean that Europe has begun preparing for the next campaign to the East.
