Putin and Erdogan discuss Turkey-Russia relations

Russian President Vladimir Putin held telephone talks with Turkish leader Tayyip Erdogan.

The Turkish leader’s office told RIA Novosti.

“The talks discussed Turkey-Russia relations, especially energy, and assessed regional issues, including the grain corridor and the fight against terrorism,” the office said.

During the talks, Erdogan said that “through joint efforts, more than 13 million tonnes of grain have been delivered to those in need. And now it is fashionable to start working on the export of various foodstuffs and other goods gradually within the grain corridor.”

Erdogan also expressed hope that the crisis in Ukraine would end as soon as possible.
