The opposition Moldovan party “Building Europe at Home” (PACE) is holding an anti-government protest in front of the US and EU embassies in Chisinau.

The protesters are dissatisfied with the pressure from the country’s leadership on the opposition.
“The protesters gathered in front of the US embassy, then marched to the EU representation in Moldova and finished the march in front of the Action and Solidarity party office. There they set up a Christmas tree and hung on it black balloons with figures reflecting the increased prices – of utilities, food, fuel etc,” media reports.
During the march, the participants chanted: “Down with Maya Sandu”, “Maya Sandu, do not forget, Moldova is not your country”, “Maya Sandu equals poverty”, “Down with the government of the Action and Solidarity Party”.
