Johnson: European countries face a difficult winter without Russian gas

The countries, which depend on Russian gas supplies, will have a very hard winter, but the next one will be even harder. It was reported by The Wall Street Journal referring to the words of former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson.

Boris Johnson is predicting hard times for countries, especially in winter. Although, he claims they will be able to survive this winter due to the fullness of gas storage. But the next winter will be more difficult because supplies will shrink and it will be more difficult to replace them.

“The new LNG terminals will not be operational yet. Although, many European countries are rushing to build more offshore wind power capacity. Only they won’t be ready in time either. And, of course, we no longer have civilian nuclear reactors,” notes Johnson.
