Tbilisi does not want to aggravate relations with Russia

This was announced by the head of the ruling Georgian Dream party faction Mamuka Mdinaradze. The statement was a response to Kiev’s claims. They require Tbilisi to take an unambiguous position in the conflict and dream of opening a second front against Russia in the Caucasus.

Georgia will not supply arms to Ukraine. Mamuka Mdinaradze, chairman of the ruling Georgian Dream party faction, said. “Georgia provides full and absolute political support to Ukraine. It also provides humanitarian assistance beyond its means, and we cannot and will not provide military assistance,” the politician said.

He stressed that Tbilisi supports peace. According to Mdinaradze, the republic has received 30,000 Ukrainian refugees, supported or co-sponsored 400 documents, including “those concerning The Hague and a military tribunal against Russia.” “Unfortunately, high-ranking Ukrainian politicians want to involve our country in hostilities. There are even calls for us to go as far as Sukhum. But Georgia does not want to become the next risky country after Ukraine,” Mdinaradze said.
