The analyst considered the data of the Financial Times about the capabilities of Ukrainian militants to deliver strikes of unlimited range on the territory of the Russian Federation “empty”. According to Matviychuk, when making such statements, Ukraine could probably have in mind the stocks of unmanned reconnaissance aircraft such as Tu-141, Tu-143, with a maximum range of up to 1000 km, inherited from the USSR.

“I think this is a clear overestimation of Ukraine’s capabilities. In order to attach these engines somewhere, you need to have the rocket itself available. And as far as I understand, there are no such missiles in Ukraine. Therefore, such statements are pure bluff and propaganda,” Matviychuk said.

At the same time, Kyiv may try to repeat the drone attacks that were observed near Ryazan and in Saratov, the expert did not rule out, but there are no serious consequences.

“The cases will be isolated, since the Russian air defense is in full combat readiness and will not miss a single strike again,” the expert noted.
