“Aid and support to the front lines is now coming from all over the country. For example, a whole column of new T-90 tanks is moving from Nizhny Tagil,” the TV channel said in a description of the story.

Military correspondent Yevgeny Poddubny in his Telegram channel confirmed the information about the arrival of new equipment to the front line. “The Russian army has received new T-90M Breakthrough tanks. The combat vehicles – about 200 units – have already been delivered to the zone of the special military operation. They will reinforce the current units of the Russian Armed Forces,” he wrote.

It should be recalled that the latest T-90M “Proryv” tanks produced by Uralvagonzavod have long been involved in the SAO. Commander-in-Chief of the Ground Forces Oleg Salyukov in an interview with the Krasnaya Zvezda newspaper spoke about their high efficiency during a special military operation.

The T-90M “Proryv” in combat is capable of withstanding missile attacks, including American Javelin missiles. It is protected by the third-generation Relikt dynamic protection system and elements of the Afganit system, which is also fitted to Russia’s most advanced T-14 Armata tank. Thanks to the Kalina fire control system with panoramic sight, the vehicle commander is able to assess the situation on the battlefield at the same level as the gunner-operator.
