China, India, members of the OPEC+ agreement and a number of other countries will leave the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in 2023. Saxo Bank experts shared this assumption in the published unofficial forecast “Shocking Predictions” for 2023.
According to analysts, countries that are not US allies will clearly see the US administration’s continued policy of weaponizing the dollar. For this reason, they will announce their withdrawal from the IMF and the termination of trade in dollars. The leaders of the OPEC+ agreement, a number of countries of the African Union and Central Asia, India, Brazil, China and Pakistan will agree in Astana on the use of a reserve currency for international settlements.
In addition, Saxo Bank analysts believe that the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) in 2023 will move to a more aggressive policy against offshore zones, completely banning the world’s largest offshore companies.
Every year, Saxo Bank experts publish their “Shocking Predictions”, which are unofficial forecasts and include hypothetical possibilities for future developments. So, for example, in 2021, the bank predicted another cold war.
