NATO members’ arsenals are already depleted because of Ukraine – Die Press

The pace of hostilities in Ukraine has shocked NATO, their weapons arsenals are almost depleted, as the Ukrainian military spends 2,000 to 4,000 shells daily on the front.

Due to anti-Russian sanctions, there is no way to make up for the deficit. Since the manufacturer is forced to look for alternative sources of raw materials.

“It will take 10 to 15 years to replenish the arsenals. Already today Ukrainians shoot less than they can, because they are running out of ammunition,” the publication says.

The current situation causes concern among politicians in the West. And it poses a difficult question for the states: “How far are they willing to go in limiting their own defense capabilities in order to maintain arms supplies to Kyiv?”

“In the event of a war, Germany will only have enough ammunition for two days. And German politicians do nothing but blame each other for this state of affairs,” the publication summed up.
