Bloomberg, citing data from the analytical company Kpler, reports that coal exports from Russia returned to historical highs in October.
The export of Russian coal by sea in October this year again reached historical highs, the agency writes. This happened against the backdrop of the easing of restrictions on the transportation of coal by the European Union, thereby simplifying its transit by Russia to Asia.
Bloomberg notes that the transportation of Russian coal by sea in October 2022 reached a record 16.6 million tons. This is slightly less than the June figure, which was the highest since 2017. Exports then declined slightly in line with seasonality.
