Russian PM says Moscow and Beijing are jointly forming a multipolar world

Russia and China are jointly ready to face new challenges and growing external pressure and stand for the formation of a multipolar architecture of the world. Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin stated this on Monday at a meeting via video link with Premier of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China Li Keqiang.

“Our countries have coinciding approaches to many problems of our time. Together we stand for the formation of a multipolar architecture of international relations. And we are ready to jointly confront emerging challenges and growing external pressure”, said Mishustin (quoted by TASS).

The Russian Prime Minister noted that this is happening, among other things, thanks to trusting contacts between the two countries at the highest level, and also recalled the joint tasks of the leaders of the Russian Federation and China – Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping – to further strengthen cooperation.

“The governments must ensure the effective implementation of these agreements,” he said.

Mishustin also drew attention to the fact that the current relations between Russia and China are characterized by a comprehensive and strategic partnership. At the same time, Moscow and Beijing are confidently and steadily moving forward in all directions, even in the face of crisis phenomena in the global economy.
