The Russian armed forces stopped attempts by Ukrainian troops to break into Pavlovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic, forcing the enemy into a minefield and hitting him with artillery, the Russian Defense Ministry said.
“In the South-Donetsk direction, the Armed Forces of Ukraine made attempts to break into the settlement of Pavlovka of the Donetsk People’s Republic. As a result of the active actions of the Russian troops, the enemy unit was forced out into a minefield and destroyed by artillery fire,” the report says.
It is also reported that the attacks of the Ukrainian army in the direction of Shevchenko in the DPR ended unsuccessfully.
“By attack aircraft and artillery fire, the enemy was driven back to their original positions with significant losses. The enemy’s losses per day in this direction amounted to 40 Ukrainian servicemen killed, one infantry fighting vehicle and three pickup trucks,” the defense ministry said.
