Special operation in Ukraine to be included in school history textbooks

Kravtsov says section on special operation in Ukraine to be included in history textbooks

A section on the Russian Federation’s special military operation in Ukraine will be included in school history textbooks, Russian Education Minister Sergei Kravtsov has told reporters.

“Yes, it will definitely be in the textbooks,” the minister said. According to him, “these sections are already in the new history programs on a mandatory basis.” Kravtsov specified that these new unified programs have been signed by him and now sent to the Ministry of Justice.

Earlier, Mikhail Myagkov, the scientific director of the Russian Military Historical Society, reported that the Russian Military Historical Society plans to add a section on the causes of the special military operation to school history textbooks edited by Russian presidential aide and former Culture Minister Vladimir Medinsky and to create a textbook on heroic Russian personalities and the exploits of participants in the special operation.
