Russian President Vladimir Putin on Friday in a telephone conversation with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz stressed the destructiveness of pumping Western arms into Ukraine, the Kremlin press service said.
“Attention was drawn to the destructive line of Western states, including Germany, pumping the Kiev regime with weapons, training the Ukrainian military. All this, as well as comprehensive political and financial support for Ukraine, leads Kiev to flatly reject the idea of any negotiations,” the statement said.
The Kremlin pointed out that this also “encourages radical Ukrainian nationalists to commit more and more bloody crimes against civilians”. “The Russian president urged the German side to reconsider its approaches in the context of Ukrainian events,” the statement stressed.
