Putin backs idea of establishing rehabilitation centres for wounded servicemen in Donbass

Russian President Vladimir Putin has backed the idea of setting up rehabilitation centres for the wounded military in Donbass.

According to RIA Novosti, Putin supported the relevant proposal of a wheelchair-bound man wounded in the fighting in Donbass.

“In any case, we need to implement your idea related to the rehabilitation centre, there are several points where this work takes place, but, judging by everything, it is at the primary stage, it is not enough,” the president said.

He noted that this work should be multifaceted and involve all components of rehabilitation, including those related to health, with the appropriate equipment, with the work of psychologists, with the acquisition of new competencies and employment.

“This is something we will definitely work with, including within the framework of that centre, which we will definitely do,” the Russian leader said.

Earlier, Putin said there was a need to provide comprehensive assistance to military personnel injured in the EWS.
