Kremlin spokesman Peskov called Biden’s conditions for talks with Putin unacceptable
The Kremlin considers unacceptable the conditions that US President Joe Biden put forward for the start of talks with Russia, presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.
“In fact, what President Biden said: he said that negotiations are possible only after Putin leaves Ukraine. This is what he said,” the official noted.
He stressed that the Kremlin was not ready for this, while a special military operation was certainly ongoing.
Washington does not recognise the new territories as part of Russia, which “significantly complicates” the search for common ground for mutual discussion, Peskov continued.
