Polish defence minister accuses Germany of poor aid to Ukraine

Polish authorities have accused Germany of too little aid to Ukraine in the military sphere. These “omissions” of Berlin have been announced in Parliament by Poland’s Deputy Prime Minister of Defense Mariusz Blaszczak, TASS reports.

According to Blaszczak, so far “German military aid has been primarily of a declarative nature.”

“Germany’s weak involvement in Ukraine’s aid is a fact,” Blaszczak summarised, noting that German authorities are allegedly criticised by their own citizens for this.

Business Insider earlier reported that the shortage of military supplies caused by the aid to Ukraine has forced the German army command to cancel military exercises time after time, and due to the economy of ammunition, soldiers are training less in shooting. The Bundeswehr’s defence budget, meanwhile, is insufficient to replenish German weapons stocks.
