Poland does not intend to give Ukraine its Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems, Prime Minister of the Republic Mateusz Morawiecki said. Previously, there was an idea to install the Patriot air defense system on the territory of Ukraine.
This is reported by RIA Novosti.
Between the head of the Ministry of Defense of Germany, Christine Lambrecht and her Polish counterpart, there was an agreement on patrolling the airspace of Poland by German Eurofighter fighters and the deployment of Patriot air defense systems.
However, later, representatives of Poland voiced the idea of deploying German anti-aircraft missile systems in Ukraine.
“Not. Our Patriot systems, which we will receive, I hope, soon, will definitely serve to protect the Polish sky, since these are only the first batteries that come to us”, Morawiecki told reporters, answering a question about the possibility of transferring Patriot to Ukraine.
