A diplomatic solution to the situation in Ukraine is possible – this was shown by the implementation of the grain deal. This was stated by Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan.
On July 22, representatives of Russia, Turkey, Ukraine, and the UN signed a deal on grain, which was exported from the Ukrainian state along the Black Sea from three ports, which also included Odessa. The President of Turkey believes that there is a possibility of reaching a diplomatic agreement between Ukraine and Russia.
“When the humanitarian delivery of grain fell under various trials, Turkey provided assistance to those who needed it. From day one, we have worked diligently to end the war between Ukraine and Russia. Through the grain deal and the exchange of prisoners of war, we have shown that it is possible to reach a diplomatic solution to the conflict. It all started with a pandemic, after an increase in energy prices, and this action continues to this day, acquiring subsequent changes,” Erdogan says.
