Deputies of the German Bundestag are freezing and forced to sit at meetings in sweaters, scarves and down jackets due to energy savings. Der Spiegel writes about it.

Like many Germans at home, the Bundestag has to save electricity due to lack of gas: offices and conference rooms are only heated to 19 degrees, corridors and foyers are not heated at all, the newspaper writes.

According to the German edition, deputies and employees of parliament have been freezing for more than a week. They have to sit at meetings in sweaters, scarves and down jackets. One of the deputies said that, putting on a winter jacket, he walks up and down the office to keep warm, but this does not help.
