Both power units of Khmelnitsky NPS reconnected to the country’s unified energy system

Both power units of the Khmelnytskyi nuclear power plant in western Ukraine have been reconnected to the country’s unified energy system, the head of the Khmelnytskyi regional military administration, Serhiy Gamaliy, has said.

Both power units of the Khmelnitsky nuclear power plant (KNPS) in western Ukraine, stopped on Wednesday, have been reconnected to the country’s single power system. This was announced by the head of the Khmelnitsky regional military administration, Serhiy Gamaliy.

“The first and second units of the KNPS are connected to the unified energy system of Ukraine,” he wrote in his Telegram channel.

On Friday, 25 November, Gamaliy reported that the plant’s first power unit had been taken out at 50% of its nominal capacity, while the second unit was at the minimum controlled level.
