Russian President Vladimir Putin has promised to discuss a system of benefits for residents of Donbass who have been involved in defence since 2014.
“Now we have a law passed under which all Russian benefits are extended to residents of Luhansk, Donetsk and two other territories. We can extend it, what is called retroactively, starting from 2014… we will work on it and some system of relevant benefits should be looked at,” Putin said.
Putin said that he had discussed with Defence Minister Sergey Shoygu and Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova to prepare more specific instructions.
