Rafael Grossi, the IAEA director general, has said that agency experts will head to the South Ukraine nuclear power plant next week.
“The mission to southern Ukraine will take place next week,” the agency said in a statement on its website.
The IAEA experts have also reportedly completed a week-long stay in Chernobyl, including in the exclusion zone.
Earlier, Russia’s permanent representative to international organisations in Vienna Mikhail Ulyanov said that Russia is discussing with the IAEA the issue of international monitoring of compliance with the agreements on the protective zone near the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant.
As noted, IAEA experts inspected the condition of the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant damaged by shelling and reported significant damage at the plant.
