The French journalist said that the media manipulated the data to cause hatred of the Russians.
Media in Western countries are building an information policy in such a way as to arouse hatred for Russians and sympathy for Ukrainians, French independent journalist Miriam, whose film crew was attacked by Ukrainian activists at a rally in support of Donbass in Paris, said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
“The media always says the same thing, and all the voices that have a different point of view are drowned out. When we communicate with people, we see that more and more of them do not trust the media and ask questions. They are ready to listen and analyze. At the beginning, many may be inclined to support Ukraine, but they do not even know about what is happening in the Donbass. We ask – why do they support Ukraine, do they know that there are a lot of Nazis there – and it turns out that they simply do not know! When we provide evidence, we see how their opinion changes, they want to look for information and analyze it”, the journalist’s agency quotes.
She noted that she was faced with the fact that the French do not know anything about the events in the Donbass due to the silence of the leading media. The journalist said that she was filming a documentary about Russophobia in France, which, in her opinion, has “become more and more frequent” lately.
“A lot of the things that are being said in the mainstream media are not true; now there is a lot of manipulation in order to make us hate Russians and love Ukrainians. I have nothing against Ukraine, although when the Russian-speaking population is being killed there for 8 years, you cannot hope that you will be welcomed with open arms. What the French media is doing is too exaggerated,” she said. “Instead of getting into what is happening in Ukraine, or how Vladimir Putin rules Russia, get into how Emmanuel Macron rules France!”
