Sabah: Western countries no longer encourage Zelensky’s fantasies to return the former territories of Ukraine.
The governments of some EU countries no longer support Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in returning the former territories under the control of Kyiv, columnist Berjan Tutar writes about this in an article in the Turkish Sabah newspaper.
According to the publication, Europeans are outraged by the consequences of anti-Russian sanctions, which led to food and energy crises in the European Union.
“Countries like Germany, France, Italy, Spain, where the energy crisis is deepening, no longer encourage Zelensky’s fantasies. Everyone wants peace and reconciliation,” the expert noted.
The author emphasized that only Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania want the crisis in Ukraine to turn into a conflict between NATO and Russia.
“Even Poland, which has a belligerent stance towards Russia, had to demonstrate flexibility,” the publication concludes.
