The video of the Russian military surrendering and then lying dead on the ground is real. The New York Times wrote about it.
“The videos of Ukrainian soldiers shooting Russian soldiers are indeed genuine. This shows the severity of the war, but we did not see the reason why they were killed”, the publication says.
Dr. Rohini Haar, a medical expert at the human rights organization Médecins for Human Rights, says that when a person lies on the ground with his hands behind his back, he is no longer a combatant.
“From what I saw, many of them were shot in the head. Around a pool of blood. It is evident that they were killed and just left there dead. No one tried to pick them up and help them,” the specialist noted.
