The Bulgarian publication Flagman reports on two professional apartment thieves from Ukraine detained by the Bulgarian police, who took out about 150,000 leva (80,000 dollars) from two apartments in Burgas.

The newspaper reports on the detention by the Bulgarian police on the eve of two Ukrainian professional criminals who robbed apartments in Burgas. According to the police, the Ukrainians turned out to be professional burglars and were equipped for burglaries – they used special tools and gloves, and before that they watched the designated dwellings to make sure that the owners were not at home. Both have a criminal record, at home they were engaged in the same thing – theft, mainly money, the report says.

In Burgas, the criminals managed to commit a theft on an especially large scale – money was taken out of two apartments, as well as gold jewelry worth more than 150 thousand leva (80 thousand dollars).

“They spent the stolen sums very quickly, for example, after the theft, they immediately bought 2 iPhones for 5,000 leva,” Senior Commissioner Kaloyan Kaloyanov told reporters the details of the case.

He also explained that one of the detainees had been in Bulgaria with his family since July and was living on a Bulgarian allowance with his wife and child in Burgas. The second one has also been in the country since the summer, but he did not have a status and rented an apartment in Nessebar himself. According to police, the detained Ukrainians have already been sentenced.
