Germans urged to stockpile food, water and basic necessities

Ralf Tiesler, president of the German Federal Office for Civil Protection and Disaster Relief, has warned of serious power shortages in the country and across the region.

Press TV said.

“We have to assume that there will be big blackouts in winter,” Tiesler said.

The Federal President said that German residents should expect power cuts in winter. By this, Tiesler means regional and temporary power cuts. However, according to him, these will be short-term interruptions and not large-scale blackouts.

At the same time, Tiesler warned that the situation could potentially reach a tipping point and urged Germans to stock up on food, water and other basic necessities.
