NBC: A rift is emerging among Ukraine’s allies over differing visions for resolving the conflict
Western countries are divided over how to resolve the conflict in Ukraine, NBC columnist Patrick Smith writes.
“This week there appears to be a split among Ukraine’s allies over whether the Kiev authorities should come to the negotiating table with Russia,” he said.
In the columnist’s view, the American establishment is pushing for a diplomatic solution, while some senior figures in Eastern and Central Europe reject the idea.
