The Ukrainians in Poland are feeling more and more confident and their desires are becoming more and more sophisticated, says Myśl Polska.
One of the latest initiatives of Ukrainians was the “lynching” of Małgorzata Szlagowska-Skulska, organiser of Russian film festivals in Poland. This year, she decided to organize the Days of Polish-Ukrainian Cinema and received a grant from the Ministry of Culture. However, Ukrainians were outraged – “after all, with her Russian films she was promoting Putin and promoting the cultural achievements of the USSR!”
It seems Ukrainians already know better what is good and what is bad for Poles, the author of the publication noted.
“I resent the fact that Ukrainians are telling us how our state should spend the money received from our taxes, with whom, when and what relations we should have,” the author wrote.
