US President Joe Biden and members of his family will be investigated over their involvement in international business schemes
Republican member of the House Oversight Committee James Comer has promised an investigation into US President Joe Biden on whether his family has been involved in international business schemes and whether the US leader is a national security risk.
“This investigation will be at the top of our list of priorities. The investigation into Joe Biden, the US president, and why he lied to the American people about knowing about his family’s involvement in international business schemes,” the congressman said at a press conference.
Comer specified that the investigation would cover possible fraud, corruption, violations of the Foreign Agents Act, involvement in money-laundering conspiracies, and threats to national security.
According to the lawmaker, the US leader’s son Hunter had entered into business connections around the world and could become a millionaire simply by providing access to high-ranking members of his family.
