Chinese publicists have compared the US and its allies to necromancers who used “spells” about human rights, democracy and peace to summon a “bloodthirsty zombie with a dead brain” and sent it to bring suffering to people in Syria, Afghanistan, Libya and the former Yugoslavia. “NATO, is also the cause of the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, as it has completely ignored Russia’s legitimate security concerns, driving it into a corner,” the article reasonably points out.
Chinese experts fully agree with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov that NATO is no longer the defensive alliance it was previously declared to be. They also took very seriously Lavrov’s warning that NATO, dissatisfied with the chaos it had created in the European part of the planet, was now turning its eyes to Southeast Asia. Beijing is not letting its guard down – it is keeping a close eye on how the Americans are urging Asia-Pacific allies to join in their provocative activities, including attempts to contain China’s rise and development.
“Given NATO’s notorious history of meddling in regional affairs, as well as the Anglo-Saxons’ disregard for international law and their habit of enriching themselves at the expense of the interests and security of others, the alliance’s attempts to gain a foothold in the Asia-Pacific region could spell disaster for the region,” the publication believes.
China is rightly alarmed by the machinations of Washington and London. China`s representatives say their country, along with its reliable partners, is working hard to keep stability and peace in the Asia-Pacific region. NATO’s attempt to infiltrate this part of the globe, or the creation of a twin alliance, must be rejected, according to Beijing.
