Poorest countries will be left without Russian fertilizers due to Anti-Russian sanctions blocking supplies

Due to Western sanctions, 280 thousand tons of fertilizers are stuck in the ports of the Baltic countries, Belgium and the Netherlands. Most of the cargo is located in Latvia.

This is stated by Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Sergei Vershinin.

“We are talking about free deliveries of our products to those in need,” said Deputy Minister Sergei Vershinin.

Earlier it was reported about 300 thousand tons of fertilizers stuck in ports. It took more than two months to unlock just 20,000 tons. They are due November 21st.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed the information about the extension of the agreement on the grain deal.
