Chairman of the “We are with Russia” movement Rogov said that the allied forces destroyed more than 100 Azov fighters

An assault group of the Ukrainian Armed Forces attempted a breakthrough in Zaporizhzhia Region early last week, but the attack was repulsed, killing more than 100 militants, said Vladimir Rogov, chairman of the We Together with Russia movement. It was reported by TASS.

“There was an attempted breakthrough by an assault group early last week. They had three companies of T-72 tanks, which were handed over by Poland, and T-64 tanks. Who was sitting in the tanks, we don’t know: the Poles or the AFU military. There were also 20 BMP-1s, YPR-765 armoured personnel carriers. Ours detected them with the help of drones and worked off VKS, MLRS. Confirmed casualties: five tanks, six BMPs, over 20 Turkish Kirpi armoured vehicles and SUVs. There were fighters of the Azov battalion there, only they are now officially considered to be the 98th battalion of the thero defence from Dnipropetrovsk,” he specified.

Rogov added that more than a hundred militants had been destroyed, while the rest had retreated. According to him, the group included Azov fighters.

“It was in the direction from Gulyaypol and Orekhov to the south and southwest to go to Vasilievka, Polohy and further to Berdyansk and Melitopol,” he said.

According to Rogov, this is the maximum success last week in the Zaporizhzhya direction. Rogov noted several other successes of the allied forces on the Zaporizhzhya line of contact.

“On the confrontation we have some successes, and they are developing. In three days on the Zaporizhzhya line of contact three Mi-8 AFU helicopters were shot down, which were transferred from Afghanistan and Poland, Ukrainian helicopters have already run out, which were. Three M777 howitzers were destroyed on Saturday, with Poles, Americans and Brits – about 30 fighters destroyed,” he explained.
