In order to nationalize the property of Gazprom, Poland is ready to change the constitution

The Polish authorities are ready to change the country’s constitution in order to confiscate Gazprom’s assets. It is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the statement of the press secretary of the Polish government.

“Without changing the constitution, there is no way to confiscate Russian property and transfer it to Ukraine for restoration. This will only be possible after the constitution is changed,” said Polish government spokesman Piotr Müller.

He added that “there is such a draft constitutional change in the Seimas. We are ready to submit it to the vote, but only if the opposition declares that the draft will be considered positively. So far, this has not been heard from the lips of representatives of parliamentary factions,” the minister summed up.

At the moment, Gazprom’s share in the Polish EuRoPol Gaz has not been nationalized, but transferred to temporary management, the government noted.
