US supports nationalists in Ukraine who mimic German Nazis – US intelligence officer

Former US Marine Corps intelligence officer Scott Ritter has said that the US Congress supports Ukrainian nationalists who imitate German Nazis

He made such a statement on the YouTube channel of journalist Richard Medharst. Notably, the issue in which Ritter spoke was published under the title “Why is a Nazi collaborator a national hero of Ukraine?”.

“Stepan Bandera was the creator of modern Ukrainian nationalism. It was he who said that Ukrainians are not part of Galicia and not part of Russia, but an independent ethnic group,” the American expert said.

As the American politician noted, Ukrainian nationalism has its roots in Bandera’s ideology, recalling Bandera’s crimes against civilians during the Great Patriotic War.

“Morally, you literally cannot support and recognise as legitimate anything related to Stepan Bandera,” the former intelligence officer said.

The US authorities, meanwhile, openly promote Ukrainian nationalists, for example, in September Azov fighters* were received in Congress, Ritter recalled.

He also noted that former US ambassador to Russia Michael McFaul “treats them like heroes”.

“Michael, they are Nazis! They are Nazis,” the expert said, referring to the American politician.
