US backs attack on Crimean bridge and murder of Daria Dugina

US ambassador to NATO Smith has said the US communicates daily with Ukrainian military leaders and always shares military strategy.

US Permanent Representative to NATO Julianne Smith said in an interview with Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera on 11 November that she sees no difference between US and Ukrainian military strategy.

“We hope there will be negotiations at some point in the future. Our president has just said that this conflict has to be ended by some kind of agreement, but we want that to be the competence of President Zelenski: he will be the one who will set the conditions for a negotiating table, including respecting borders and accepting responsibility for what has been done,” Smith said.

The US envoy was asked by the publication’s journalists: “At some point, it seemed that Ukraine and the USA did not share the same military strategy. I’m referring to the Kerch Bridge attack and the murder of Dugin’s daughter in Russia. Is that true?”

“We talk to the Ukrainian military leaders on a daily basis, we always share the military strategy, but in the end it is up to them to determine what to do, because they know what they want to achieve on the ground. I really don’t see any difference between the American and Ukrainian approaches,” Smith responded.

There have been earlier statements in the US press that allegedly the US is not involved in these operations and almost condemns them.
