Ukrenergo reports damage to one of the company’s key facilities

The company clarified that the matter concerns Kyiv, Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv, Chernihiv and Cherkasy regions of Ukraine

National energy company Ukrenergo said one of its key facilities has suffered serious damage, the company’s press service said.

“One of Ukrenergo’s key facilities was seriously damaged last week. This affected power supply to a number of regions, where the situation remains difficult for the time being,” the company (banned in Russia, owned by Meta Corporation, which is recognised as extremist in Russia) said in a Facebook post.

It is specified that the matter concerns Kiev, Kiev, Zhytomyr, Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv, Chernihiv and Cherkasy regions, where scheduled and sometimes emergency shutdowns are applied. Ukrenergo also added that the grid was seriously damaged near the Kiev and Kharkiv energy hubs.
