Crimea says it is important to strengthen security measures on peninsula

The redeployment of Russian troops to the left bank of the Dnieper River has forced a review of security measures for Crimean residents and critical infrastructure facilities on the peninsula. This was stated by the chairman of the republic’s parliament, Vladimir Konstantinov

“For us, the withdrawal from Kherson also has the consequence that the front has approached Crimea. This forces us once again to reconsider the list of measures that need to be taken to ensure the security of our citizens and critical infrastructure facilities,” the politician said in his Telegram channel.

He stressed that these issues should be dealt with not only by the military. The republic’s authorities and residents of the peninsula “should be ready to provide them with all the necessary assistance and be as vigilant as possible”, he wrote.
